SAMAS the Deluxe Destination Spa at the Park Hotel Kenmare has just launched a new treatment menu offering another unique reason to visit this destination.

SAMAS Treatments & Rituals are a luxurious selection of specially created treatments and rituals that enhance ones experience in this acclaimed spa. Drawing on research that brought the team of professionals at SAMAS to the foothills of the Himalayas in India each treatment encapsulates the essence of its origins.

For example the SAMAS Warming Envelopment uses mineral rich Himalayan Clay from the holy Ganga region with its immensely detoxifying and purifying properties that are used in medical recipes for centuries. Or the SAMAS Silkening Body Polish which uses hydrating sea salt and pure sugar cane crystals saturated with nourishing infusions of Indian Rose, Tamarind and Jasmine to create the perfect warm oil scrub to reveal silky-soft and radiant skin.

Another luxurious element of SAMAS is our reservation system. Unlike other spas where you have to reserve your treatment in advance at SAMAS you simply reserve time and decide which treatment is most suited to you when you arrive for your appointment.

Music for the Senses

The Park Hotel Kenmare is pleased to announce the launch of SÁMAS Music for the Senses.  

Specially commissioned by the hotel SÁMAS Music for the Senses was composed by acclaimed Roxy Music founder member Sax and Oboe player Andy Mackay.  

Speaking about the commission Andy commented “I was very pleased to be asked to write the music.   The concept of creating music for such a defined environment posed a rare challenge.   I was very aware we should ignore the obvious attraction of waves and wind in such music as SÁMAS ignored all stereotypes in its creation.   The use of such musicians as Chris Spedding, Lucy Wilkins and Julia Thornton brings a “pop/rock/classical” influence which is fused with the controlled element of the writing that results in an interesting exploration of “relaxation music." 

SÁMAS Music of the Senses is provided for in room listening in all bedrooms of the hotel and throughout the public areas of SÁMAS.   It is available for purchase from the hotel at €20.00 per CD.
