International Womens Day at the Park, Women Building Purpose, Panel Discussion with Lunch
On Sunday 8th March, we are excited to mark International Women’s Day with an afternoon designed to be uplifting as well as grounded in real experience.
Overlooking Kenmare Bay, Women Building Purpose is a celebration of women who have chosen directions that are fulfilling, rewarding, and shaped by their own values.
Curated and hosted by broadcaster and writer Ali Dunworth, the keystone of the afternoon is a panel conversation bringing together women who have built careers that reflect creativity and conviction. The discussion with these women will explore how purpose is formed over time: how to follow your instinct, change direction when needed, and create a body of work that feels true and meaningful.
Joining the panel is Kenmare-based artist and fashion designer Doireann Healy of Begley & Bowie, known for her vivid use of colour and her multidisciplinary creative practice.
Dr. Helena McMahon, founder of Irish marine biotech skincare brand Seabody, brings a scientific and wellness-led dimension to the conversation.
Completing the panel are Orla and Anna O’Carroll, the wife-and-wife duo behind Valentia Island Vermouth. Inspired by the landscape and botanicals of Valentia Island, the pair created a drinks brand that celebrates place and craft.
Guests will be welcomed with a glass of bubbles on arrival before settling in for a two-course lunch, served alongside the conversation, followed by tea, coffee and petits fours as the discussion opens into an informal Q&A.
Spend an afternoon in good company, leave with a fresh perspective, and with the understanding that purpose can be built in many different ways. The pace of the afternoon is deliberately relaxed, allowing everyone time to listen and connect.
