Park Hotel Kenmare sits quietly above Kenmare Bay, in the heart of the town, with gardens that open towards the water and the hills beyond. Open since 1897, It is a place shaped by history, design, and a deep connection to its setting, now under new ownership, with a renewed focus on craft, culture, and considered hospitality.

Weddings here are personal by nature. The house lends itself to gatherings that feel intimate, relaxed, and unhurried, where guests can settle into the rhythm of the hotel and the landscape around it.

Throughout the hotel, original artworks and carefully curated pieces sit alongside period details and handcrafted interiors. The collection is not decorative in the usual sense, it is part of the fabric of the building, contributing to the atmosphere of a house that has evolved over time.

This sense of place carries through to wedding celebrations, where each room offers a distinct backdrop: drawing rooms for arrival drinks, garden views for quiet moments, and a dining room that feels warm and welcoming.

Food is central to any celebration at Park Hotel Kenmare. James O’Sullivan and his team build menus around the best available ingredients from Kerry and further afield, working closely with local suppliers and producers. From the wedding meal itself to late-night dining and informal gatherings across the weekend, the approach is the same, considered cooking, shaped by season and setting, served in a way that feels generous and unfussy.

Later this summer, we will open a new spa, extending the hotel’s focus on wellbeing and restoration. Designed as a calm, contemporary space within the grounds, it will offer treatments and experiences that sit naturally alongside the landscape and the pace of life at the hotel. For wedding parties, it adds another layer to the experience, time to unwind before the day, or to extend the celebration with a slower rhythm afterwards.

For larger celebrations, the hotel can be booked exclusively for one or several nights, allowing the celebration to unfold gradually. Guests can explore Kenmare, walk along the bay, or simply spend time in the house and gardens. The town itself, with its independent shops, restaurants, and creative community, is just a short walk away, adding to the sense of ease and connection that defines a stay here.
